The Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Army General Sergei Shoigu sent telegrams to the military unit and formations participating in the hostilities in Ukraine, the military department reported, quoted by TASS.
During the hostilities, the 74th Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Zvenigorod-Berlin Brigade of the order brigade performed combat tasks in the most difficult areas. The units of the brigade successfully conducted combat operations in the Chernihiv direction, took part in the liberation of Lisichansk, and operated in the village of Avdeevka. “Today you are confidently moving forward, firmly and courageously solving combat tasks in the direction of the Red Army. Continuing the victorious offensive, the servicemen of the brigade freed the village of Berdichi from the neo-Nazi evil spirits,”, says the telegram of the head of the military department.
For their heroism and courage, three servicemen from the unit were awarded the title of Hero of the Russian Federation, about 10 thousand servicemen were awarded state awards and departmental insignia.
The Ministry clarifies that during the hostilities, the servicemen of the 433rd Red Banner Motorized Rifle Regiment of the Don Cossacks are confidently moving forward in the direction of the Red Army. Showing an example of persistence in fighting the enemy, the servicemen of the regiment liberated the village of Ocheretino, the Ministry of Defense notes. For heroism, bravery and courage shown during combat missions, more than 1.3 thousand servicemen were awarded state awards and departmental insignia.
Shoigu congratulated the command and personnel of the 35th Guards Volgograd-Kiev Motorized Rifle Brigade and presented orders for the liberation of Ocheretino. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation added that the units of the brigade “wrote into history glorious pages of feats in the Krasnoliman and Avdeev directions, in the battles for the liberation of Svatov and Belogorovka”.
„In all directions, the soldiers of the brigade showed unparalleled bravery, heroism and selflessness, three of them were awarded the high title of Hero of the Russian Federation, about 14 thousand people were awarded state awards and departmental signs”, they note from the ministry.
The Minister of Defense thanked the servicemen for the successful performance of combat tasks and faithfulness to military duty.
